Here you can enjoy the quiet of the woods and the soothing sounds of rustling leaves and plentiful wildlife. You can also spend your time hiking or mountain biking the miles of forested roads in the neighborhood or swimming or kayaking at nearby South Branch Lake. Bring your kayak or canoe!

This remote wilderness cabin is powered by a generator and propane appliances. The nearest gas station/convenience store is in the town of Howland, about 20 minutes away.

Location and Access

Near: Howland, Maine (about 20 minutes north of Howland)

Summer: A small SUV or any vehicle with clearance is best to access the home. A low clearance vehicle can work, but you will have to go slow and carefully avoid rocks. The access road is solid but it does have a few areas that rocks partially stick out of the road.

South Branch Lake offers boating, swimming, kayaking & canoeing.

Security Deposit - if you damage the home, you may be charged up to $400
10 gallons of gas are provided. This will run the generator for a week at two hours per day. If you should require more gas, you will have to drive 20 minutes to Howland.
Property is accessed through a locked gate shared with other nearby land owners. You will be provided a key to the gate and must keep it locked.

Cancellation Policy

Cancel up to 24 hours before check-in and get a full refund, minus service fee.
