The Centennial Valley Cabins sit on a 230,000 acre holistically managed grass-fed beef ranch, at the (literal) end of the road in the Centennial Valley of Southwest Montana. Located near Yellowstone and Grand Teton National Parks, as well as the Red Rock Lakes National Wildlife Refuge, this remote area of Montana offers miles upon miles of wilderness to explore, and this trio of fully restored homestead cabins on the banks of the Red Rock River puts the great, wide open right at your doorstep.

The property offers the perfect balance of privacy and community for group getaways, whether it’s a small family gathering, group of friends, yoga retreat or photography workshop. Catering is even available. The three cabins may be rented together, or only the single bedroom Commons Cabin may be rented separately, sleeping two to four guests. All three cabins can sleep up to 14 guests total, with two one-bedroom cabins and one two-bedroom cabin. Each comfortable cabin has its own unique character, but all have private bathrooms, living areas, and king-sized beds that can be converted to two extra long twin beds.The Commons Cabin, the largest of the three, also as a fully equipped kitchen and dining room for all three cabins to share. Amenities also include a communal outdoor sitting area with an inviting fire pit, an outdoor shower with unmatched views, and laundry facilities.

The spacious scenery offers plenty of hiking, mountain biking, and award-winning trout fishing. The area is a favorite of photographers, especially those wishing to capture unspoiled night skyscapes. Star gazers from novice to pro will be in awe of the blanket of stars that coat the black velvet sky. The waterfowl, raptors, songbirds, coyotes, and antelope will offer plenty of National Geographic-worthy photo ops as well. Or capture a piece of Big Sky country exhilaration all your own, as you explore the incredible open landscapes of Montana's last undiscovered mecca for adventure.

Location and Access

Near: Idaho Falls or Bozeman, MT

Access is via an unimproved county gravel road. Guests fly into Idaho Falls, a 2.5 hour drive north and east from Idaho Falls. Or fly into Bozeman, a 3.5 hour drive south.

4WD vehicles only with full-sized spare tires.

This area of Southwest Montana is world-renowned for wildlife viewing, birding, and fly fishing. Hiking and mountain biking trails start right from the ranch. Mountain bikers can venture on the dirt roads or hit some of the nearby single track forest service trails. Fishermen won’t want to pass up the chance to cast into the famously pristine waters of the Beaverhead, Big Hole, Madison and Ruby Rivers, all close to the ranch. Outside the ranch, but close enough for a day trip are, Red Rock Lakes National Wildlife Refuge, which features some fantastic hiking trails, Yellowstone National Park, Grand Teton National Park, and Bannack State Park.

With no light pollution, photographers will delight in capturing the crystal clear night sky. Night sky photography workshops are available.

The owners work closely with many professional fishing, hiking, and bird-watching guides in the area. If interested, please inquire about these services when making your reservation.

The owners themselves offer guided horseback riding and hiking, right on the ranch.
