Pappagallo at Cabo Pulmo Eco Palapa
East Cape, Baja California Sur, Mexico
Experience unparalleled serenity at Cabo Pulmo Eco Palapa, where life moves at the same, unhurried Baja pace that it did 50 years ago. Instead of a clock, the crashing waves, cool ocean breeze and glittering starry skies will mark your leisurely time on this relatively uninhabited beach. The wildlife outnumber the people at this secluded location, allowing visitors the rare opportunity to stay amongst some lively marine neighbors. Sea lions sun themselves on the shore and hermit crabs scurry through the sand, while whales breach offshore, dolphins flip and rays jump in the blue waves.
Pappagallo (translation: “roosterfish”), named after a trophy fish that swims in these waters, is a remote, eco-friendly inn that sits alone on a dazzling beach along the Sea of Cortez, about an hour and a half north of Cabo San Lucas. The inn offers several unique accommodations surrounded by a picturesque mountain range and peaceful desert in the center of Playa Las Barracas, one of two beaches within Cabo Pulmo National Marine Park. The Park is knows for it’s wildlife-abundant reef, the only hard coral reef in North America.
You will enjoy clean, comfortable accommodations in the openness of the 4 sleeping rooms and living/dining area at Pappagallo at Cabo Pulmo Eco Palapa, a spacious palm frond palapa with large removable windows that look out onto the property’s private beach. You have all you need at Pappagallo for the perfect Baja beach vacation: kitchen, two bathrooms, comfortable living area with a large dining table, and a patio to take in those sun-kissed days and starry nights. This is priced for 8 but can sleep more.
Additional Cabanas and two Casitas, Eagle's Nest and Sunset at the Cabo Pulmo Eco Palapa, see links to listings below, provide more beds and bathrooms for additional guests in nearby privacy and quiet. A unique and unforgettable locale for a wedding or family reunion, the grounds can accommodate over 20 people for dining, social enjoyment, and the vacation of a lifetime.
